Patrice holds a Master's Degree in Human Centered Design & Engineering (Scientific and Technical Communications) and a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Studies. She has extensive experience working with non-profit and government agencies, including education organizations, workforce development organizations, and social service agencies that serve children and youth, families, and adults. Her expertise encompasses program planning, designing and implementing evaluation and impact studies, and crafting competitive grant proposals. She also conducts qualitative and quantitative research and lit reviews, identifies best practices, and develops program and organizational budgets.
As an independent consultant, Patrice focuses on issues of social justice and equity. She has worked closely with a numerous PreK - 12 schools and school districts, institutions of higher education, government agencies, and community-based not-for-profit agencies on a wide variety of projects, such as early literacy, children's mental health, high school success, college- and career-readiness, post-secondary enrollment and success, and economic and workforce development. She has been a key thought partner on many projects and the sole or primary writer for related grant proposals. In her work as a consultant, she has helped organizations secure over $260 million in funding from federal, state, and private sources.
